Happy New Year! We kicked off a new year of meetings and activities at the Newcastle branch of the King County Library. We welcomed a few new members to the group, shared some upcoming event display opportunities, talked about a couple of surveys, reflected on a long-time member who recently passed, and shared some MOCs. This month’s build challenge was “do you want to build a snowman?” and while the answer was mostly “no,” a few members shared some great snowman and holiday builds, among other things. We finished up with a more complicated-than-usual draft of both football-themed Go Brick Me sets that was pretty fun to watch from the sidelines!
Here are a few upcoming SeaLUG display events to keep an eye out for:
- Meeker Street Nerd Party – February 25, 3 – 7 p.m. in downtown Kent
- Emerald City Comic Con – March 2 – 5 in Seattle
- Brickcon – September 9 – 10 in downtown Bellevue this year
Thanks to everyone who joined us to usher in the new year! Our next meeting will be February 4, details to come. If you’re interested in becoming a SeaLUG member or joining us for our next meetup, please get in touch!
Check out this month’s MOCs and build challenge entries!
