Yesterday SeaLUG was part of the grand opening celebration for the Totem Lake Connector, a new pedestrian and biking corridor and bridge through Kirkland’s Totem Lake neighborhood. A small team of dedicated builders, led by member Brandon Jones, was commissioned by the City of Kirkland to build a Lego minifig-scale model of the bridge. Hundreds of hours and almost 18,000 pieces later, the bridge model is a spectacular tribute to the real thing!
Check out photos of the real bridge, our model, and a couple of video interviews with build team members Brandon Jones and David Hensley to learn more about the process.
