Fifty-seven registered and paid attendees currently
Publicity for public hours (11--4 Saturday and Sunday) is the
major push---Wayne has fliers and bookmarks; additional fliers are
available for printing as PDFs from www.nwbrickcon.org.
The Website has been updated with much new content.
The Innkeeper (Mark N.) has more info on where out-of-towners can
stay.
Presentations are being solicited.
Event badges will be yellow brick badges with black lettering.
The Keynote Speaker will be asked to do a Q & A on Saturday, in
addition to his address on Friday.
Volunteers (non-attendee) to watch things during public hours are
being collected---Amanda coordinates.
Volunteers (responsible adult attendee) for the front desk are
being collected---contact Wayne.
The NWBC06 set for the Speed Build, Master Build, and Draft will
be set 4894, Mythical Creatures.
Register before Monday, if possible.

LEGO Store
Next weekend (September 8--10) there will be an in-store event---a
Master Builder will coordinate the building of a giant alligator. Adult
volunteers are needed to work all day (8-hour) shifts helping out.
Volunteers will be compensated with a modest gift certificate and a
one-day use of the store employee 30% discount. Contact Gina at the store
ASAP if interested.

The store will have a presence at NWBC06, and will offer some sort of
incentive for Con attendees to go to the Bellevue store. Policy on Brand
Retail coordination with Cons is now being set at the highest levels of US
Brand Retail, and they are still digesting their first test run (BrickFest
2006). Policies should firm up in coming weeks.

Other
NXT is all over the place.
PSLTC is doing a display for the duration of the Puyallup Fair
in the Hobby Hall. Come look at it.
