There was much food.

Stuff people brought included Terri's Weetabix castle, Lino's hot rodded
tow truck, Scott's Starbucks, Caylin's carriage, and Justin's Space
Needle.

The Lego Store will offer double stamps on August 8 and 9. Everyone said
hi to Gina over the phone when she supplied this information.

Wal-Mart is resetting for Christmas with up to twice as much Lego and two
exclusives, one of which is Bionicle and the other of which isn't.

Toys'R'Us will be resetting at the end of August. They have lots and lots
of exclusives.

BrickCon 2008 will be October 2--5. There will be a planned off-site
meet-and-greet-and-eat at 8pm October 2 (move-in day), location to be
determined.

BrickCon 2008 is supporting Make-a-Wish with a dollar for every visiting
member of the public, prompting the observation (of Make-a-Wish) "It's
sad, but that's what makes it awesome."

A draft set for the Con needs to be decided soon. This must be a set (or
choice of sets) at around the $30 price point that will be easily
available at the beginning of October. Send suggestions to Steven Walker.
Suggestions already under consideration include 8630 (Mission 3: Gold
Hunt) and 7037 (Tower Raid).

Session slots are still open for BrickCon. We've got a Mindstorms
Roundtable and and Building Big and Robot City presentations just lined
up, but we can use more. Contact Thomas Garrison within the next month.
